指粮食获得丰收不仅不能使农民从中获益,反而还会因为粮食价格的下降而导致收入降低。用经济学原理解释,根本原因在于农产品往往是缺乏需求价格弹性的商品。
"谷贱"指在丰收年份,产量增加,然而需求量不变,导致粮食价格下降;
“伤农”是指所带来的收益增加不足以弥补价格下降所造成的收益减少,结果是农民的总收益不仅不能增加反而下降,即弹性小增产不增收。通俗来讲,就是收益=价格X销量,此时,价格减少,销量不变,所以收益也减少,损害了农民的利益。
目前我国对于谷贱伤农所采取的政策:价格调控和三农政策等。
