二者的作用不同:沉降缝是为了避免由于地基的不均匀沉降,结构内将产生附加的应力,使建筑物某些薄弱部位发生竖向错动造成开裂而设置的缝隙。伸缩缝是为了避免当建筑物长度超过一定限度时,因温度变化造成开裂而设置的缝隙。(4分)
二者在构造上也有所不同:沉降缝要求从基础到屋顶所有构件均须设缝分开,使沉降缝两侧建筑物成为独立的单元,各单元在竖向能自由沉降,不受约束。伸缩缝要求将建筑物的墙提、楼层、屋顶等地面以上构件全部断开,基础因受温度变化影响较小,不必断开。(4分)
