Dear Mr. Bush,
I am very pleased to inform you that an event will take place this month in Shanghai. Perhaps you may have heard that we arrange meetings of our clients in America, in Europe, and in Asia regularly, where they will have a chance to listen to a talk held by leaders in commerce, or specialists in a field of science.
With a good understanding of your vast experience in data processing and electronic communications, we are writing to invite you to be our guest speaker at a luncheon to be held in Shanghai on Feb.26. We will appreciate it very much if you could spare some time and give a talk of about one hour, and be kind enough to answer questions afterwards. It will be our great honor if you manage to come to the Hotel Continental at 11 a.m. to settle details of the program, or send us full particulars in writing ahead.
Together with traveling expenses and two days’ accommodation in Shanghai, we will pay you a fee of $ 1,000. It is hardly necessary for us to add that such a meeting will help to bring the operations of the Export Company to the attention of a group of businessmen who are interested.
